About Me

I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE!!!

IF YOU ARE WANTING TO GET MORE CREATIVE WITH YOUR LESSONS, INSPIRE YOUR KIDS TO QUESTION, WONDER AND IMAGINE, YOU ARE DEFINITELY IN THE RIGHT PLACE!_0007456

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU????

  • My kids hate doing school.
  • I can’t get my kids to complete their assignments throughout the day.
  • This isn’t what I imagined teaching would be.
  • The curriculum we’re using isn’t working for us.
  • I feel like we’re doing school all of the time.
  • I don’t feel like I’m giving my child enough.

If you have ever felt any of these ways, you have just found the place to be!

Everyone knows that being a teacher and parent isn’t easy.  There’s a lot of learning curves and it’s not always the fantasy life we’ve dreamed it would be.  It takes a community of support to get through this season of our life.  You will find the support you need here!

I’m Christa Brown and I LOVE teaching!  I taught 8 years in the public school setting, and am now on my 5th year of homeschooling.  I also run a small cottage school in my home two days a week and teach at two other tutorials.  I started this blog and writing curriculum to provide support to all types of teachers.  YOU CAN DO THIS!

With a lot of push from my friends, I began my school and the blog 4 years ago.  Because I have a desire to make learning fun, meaningful, and right for every student, I feel led to share everything I have learned.

If you are ready to start teaching in a more effective way and get your kids excited about learning,   check out my store and my style of teaching.  I share my units, strategies, and tips on this site, Facebook, and Instagram.

  1. Less to More

Hi! I remember you had a question about moving from WordPress.com to WordPress.org. I just did a post on it that you may be interested in. Unfortunately, one of the down sides about this move is that my WordPress.com followers are not getting my posts right away in their Readers. I’ve taken this up with WordPress Support, and they said it’s just a delay in getting the feeds. Can’t really do anything about it. So here’s the link to the post, and hopefully it will help you in making the decision.
