6 DIY Healthy Halloween Treats

Good morning everyone!  Halloween is right around the corner and soon our children will be filling up on tons of sugary treats to celebrate the season.  I’m not sure how many parties we attend this time of year, but once October hits I feel like we’re in constant party mode.

Healthy Halloween Treats

If you’re thinking about a more healthy approach to Halloween this year I’ve done a bit of digging around the web (no pun intended) to find some really cute, festive alternatives to all the sugary sweets of Halloween.  Get ready, because I’ve got 6 healthy Halloween treats to make you a hit at any party!

Mavis, from One Hundred Dollars a Month, shares her Orange Pumpkin Treats.  My kids love oranges and they love playing with their food!  To test out this fun idea, I quickly peeled three oranges for my loves to put in their lunch boxes this morning.  I think these are going to be a healthy hit!

#2 Veggie Skeleton Feeding Four Little Monkeys

This would be the perfect appetizer for any class party! Last year we studied the skeletal system during Halloween. This would be a great refresher for my class!

I have a sweet tooth so I’m all about sugar but do try to have a balance (especially when it comes to my kids). I’m lucky my kiddos love healthy snacks so we are all happy. The pumpkin oranges look super easy but yet add a fun spin to a normal snack. I’ll have to make some this week!

Hi Amy! We all have a sweet tooth as well, but I think anything fun looking is fun to eat. The oranges were super easy. It took me about 5 min to peel three oranges and put the stems in. I did this in the morning before school, so I was in a hurry!

Those oranges are so adorable! I can’t believe I have never noticed that peeled mini-oranges look just like pumpkins. Thanks so much for sharing at Inspiration Thursday! Hope to see you again this week!

These are all so cute and I love that they are healthier options than the usual sugar-laden Halloween treats. Thanks so much for linking this up at Happy Home Life. It’s certainly going to make for happier, healthier Halloweens for many of us!
